ELEX is een openwereld-RPG en vindt plaats in een post-apocalyptisch, sci-fi universum waar magiërs en mechs naast elkaar leven.

Magalan, een planeet waar technologie erg ver staat en een gigantische populatie heeft, wordt geraakt door een meteoor.

Zij die de klap overleefden, bevinden zich nu in een gevecht om te overleven, een strijd om het lot van de planeet te bezegelen.

Centraal in het conflict staat ‘Elex’, een kostbare, gelimiteerde grondstof die met de meteoor is meegereisd en dat in staat is om machines aan te drijven, magie op te wekken of levende materie kan omvormen.
